With CM Punk missing, this weeks episode of WWE Backstage has seen the show take a dip in viewership, despite Triple H’s appearance.
ShowBuzzDaily reports yesterday’s episode of WWE Backstage drew 121,000 viewers. This is down from last week’s viewership, which hit 180,000 viewers, which was the highest viewership for the show to date.
The show drew a 0.05 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, down from last week’s 0.10 rating in the same demographic.
Last weeks episode, of course, featured CM Punk. It had been highly anticipated and promoted by WWE as fans were keen to see him return to the wrestling bubble.
Punk wasn’t present for this weeks episode and is only contracted to make periodic appearances as an analyst. It is currently unknown when he is slated to return to the show, but WWE will very likely promote that heavily.
This week saw an interview with Triple H take place following WWE NXT’s impressive weekend. The panel for the show included hosts Renee Young and Booker T, as well as regular analysts, Paige, Christian, and Samoa Joe.
