The World Retail Congress has named Nike Town in London ‘Retail Design of the Year’. The Congress is the meeting place of global retail leaders, offering retailers from across the globe an unparalleled opportunity to gain access to the very best of thought leadership from over 100 retailers, brands and experts.

Other winners include ‘E-tailer of the Year’. The company, which ten years ago was selling only shoes, is now a business selling more than $1bn of clothing, footwear and accessories. Zara-owner Inditex was awarded ‘Multi Market Retailer of the Year’. The company operates more than 4,260 stores in 73 countries and has established itself as one of the world’s largest fashion retailers.

US department stores Macy’s, Saks and JCPenney lead the way for advertising excellence in global competition: The companies saw off fierce competition from retailers throughout the globe to take home the prestigious ‘Retail Advertising Awards’, which were presented at the Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
