Rey Mysterio continues to be one of the most popular wrestlers in the world, and he has been lighting up the independent circuit over the past few years. Rey has been away from WWE for a number of years now, but after he made a surprise guest appearance in the men’s Royal Rumble match earlier this year, WWE officials were immediately interested in bringing back the former world champion again. Mysterio has said before that he and the company have been negotiating a new contract that would see Mysterio come back to WWE for months now, but neither side had agreed to a deal. However, it appears now that Rey Mysterio has finally signed a deal to come into WWE and will return to the company very soon.
It has just been reported that Rey Mysterio has signed a deal with WWE and will be back on television regularly within the next few weeks. PWInsider says that Mysterio’s deal is for two years, but he will be able to “give notice” after 18 months if he desires because that was the contract length that he was originally pushing for. Rey is now reportedly training for his comeback while WWE officials are working on ways to reintroduce him on TV. Mysterio originally worked for WWE from 2002 all the way until he was released back in 2015. It is unknown when Rey Mysterio will be appearing on WWE programming again, but with events such as Super Show-Down, Crown Jewel, and SmackDown’s 1000th episode coming up, Mysterio certainly has plenty of options to choose from in order to make a memorable return.
Impact Wrestling is once again rising in popularity due to its impressive talent roster and new management team. It was reported earlier this week that Impact officials were spotted at WWE’s headquarters for a secret meeting that some believe will lead to a working relationship of some sort between the two promotions in the near future. Impact’s good fortune continues as the promotion has just landed a new television contract over in the United Kingdom. It has just been announced that Impact Wrestling will now air at 1am GMT on Friday mornings on Fight Network UK/Sky channel 455. The show will also continue to remain airing on 5Spike at 11pm on Fridays. The UK has been a major market for Impact over the years, so this new deal is a huge positive.

BREAKING NEWS: Fans in the UK and Ireland can now watch IMPACT Wrestling on @FightNetUK at the same time as it airs in the States. Tune in every Thursday night/Friday morning at 1am to Sky Channel 455.
IMPACT will also continue to air every Friday night at 11pm on @5spiketv!
