A big change has been made to one of the matches for Smackdown Live. Paige announced on Twitter that Big Cass is being pulled and would no longer be facing Samoa Joe in a Money In The Bank qualifying match.
The explanation given was that he was pulled due to injury. Cass is fine and has been working an injury at the live events following the beating he took last week from Daniel Bryan. Cass is still in the doghouse with WWE management for going off script a few weeks ago so that could have played into the decision to pull him out of the MITB qualifying match.
Daniel Bryan will face Jeff Hardy on Smackdown Live in a “second chance” match. The winner will go on to face Samoa Joe next week for an opportunity to qualify for the Men’s Money In The Bank match.
Due to @BigCassWWE injury, @WWEDanielBryan will face @JEFFHARDYBRAND tomorrow night on #SDLive in a second chance match…
The winner will face @SamoaJoe NEXT WEEK for an opportunity to qualify and enter the Men’s #MITB Ladder Match.
