The #2 nationally ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (0-0, 0-0 NSIC) will open its 2015-16 dual match season on Tuesday, Nov. 24 with a road match at nearby rival St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn. at 7 p.m.

The Huskies completed their 2014-15 season with a 17-2 overall record and a perfect 8-0 NSIC record. SCSU is the four-time defending NSIC champion and the Huskies also claimed their first NCAA Division II national title in 2015 under the leadership of head coach Steve Costanzo.

SCSU owns a seven-match winning streak against St. John’s and in 2013-14, the Huskies scored a 38-0 win over the Johnnies at Halenbeck Hall. In 2012-13, the Huskies posted a 33-6 win over SJU in their last trip to Collegeville. SJU is 0-1 this season, which includes a 31-12 loss against Southwest Minnesota State on Nov. 18.
